What Is Concern Hotline and How We Help
"Life can feel overwhelming - but you don’t have to handle it alone. Concern Hotline is a 24/7 confidential support line ready to listen, guide, and connect you to help when you need it most."
What Is Concern Hotline and How We Help
Reaching out for help can feel scary - especially if you’re not sure whether what you’re experiencing “counts” as a crisis. At Concern Hotline, we want you to know this: you don’t need to be in immediate danger to call, and there’s always someone ready to listen and support you.
Concern Hotline is a local, confidential support line available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. People contact us for many reasons - from needing compassionate listening or help finding resources, to receiving support during moments of emotional crisis.
No matter the reason, we’re here to listen.
What We Offer
Concern Hotline provides support in several important ways:
Compassionate Listening
Sometimes, the most helpful thing is having someone who will listen without judgment. Our trained listeners offer a safe, supportive space to talk through what you’re feeling -whether you’re overwhelmed, lonely, anxious, or just need to be heard.
Resource Connection
Many callers reach out looking for local resources, such as:
· Mental health services
· Housing or basic needs support
· Grief or support groups
· Community programs and referrals
We help callers explore options and connect with resources that may be helpful for their specific situation. We connect callers with resources based on their local area.
Crisis Intervention
For individuals experiencing intense emotional distress, thoughts of self-harm, suicide or a mental health crisis, Concern Hotline provides immediate crisis intervention. Our listeners are trained to help de-escalate situations, offer emotional support, and work collaboratively to identify next steps that promote safety and care.
You do not need to know which type of support you’re seeking before you call. We’ll meet you where you are.
Who Answers the Phone?
When you contact Concern Hotline, you’ll speak with a trained listener who is committed to providing respectful, compassionate, and confidential support.
There are no scripts and no expectations. You’re not required to share anything you’re uncomfortable with. You guide the conversation.
Confidential and Judgment-Free Support
Calls to Concern Hotline are confidential, and our goal is to create a space where you feel safe, respected, and supported. You won’t be judged, rushed, or told how you should feel.
You don’t need the right words. You don’t need to have everything figured out. You just need to reach out.
When Should You Call?
People often hesitate because they worry their situation isn’t “serious enough.” In reality, there’s no wrong reason to call.
You can contact Concern Hotline if you’re:
· Feeling overwhelmed or emotionally stuck
· Worried about someone you care about
· Looking for resources or guidance
· Experiencing a mental health crisis
· Unsure where else to turn
· Just need someone to talk to
If you’re questioning whether to call, that alone may be a sign that support could help.
We’re Here for You.
If you or someone you know needs support, Concern Hotline is available 24/7.
