THERE IS SPACE FOR YOU HERE

Broken Silence is a support group for individuals who have experienced the loss of a loved one to suicide. We gather to support one another through shared stories, quiet presence, and understanding. Whether you feel ready to speak or need space to simply be, you are welcome here. We meet you where you are.

We meet on the first Tuesday of every month
5:30–7:00 PM

If you’re unsure whether this group is right for you, that’s okay.

You’re welcome to call 540-536-1630 to ask questions or talk it through.

For new members, a brief conversation with Tara Crawford, the group facilitator, is required to help ensure the group is a supportive fit for you.

If calling feels difficult, you’re also welcome to email Tara directly at tcrawford@concernhotline.org

You don’t need to know what to say — reaching out is the first step.

Life Journeys: Reclaiming Life After Loss

Grief after losing someone to suicide can be difficult to put into words. Everyone's experience is different, and there is no right or wrong way to grieve.

We wanted to share this video from the American Foundation for Suicide Prevention as a resource for those navigating life after loss.

Through Broken Silence, we hope to provide a space where people can connect with others who understand, share their experiences, and know they don't have to navigate their grief alone.
