Concern Hotline Assumes Facilitation of Broken Silence Suicide Loss Support Group
February meeting hosted at Blue Ridge Care; March meeting hosted at Concern Hotline
Winchester, VA — January 27, 2026 — Concern Hotline announces that it has assumed facilitation of the Broken Silence Support Group, a suicide loss support group previously hosted by Blue Ridge Care, ensuring the continuation of this vital resource for individuals grieving the loss of a loved one to suicide.
The group is currently facilitated by Courtney McCalley of Blue Ridge Care, who will continue to co-facilitate the group for the next several months alongside Tara Crawford of Concern Hotline to support a smooth and supportive transition.
The Broken Silence Support Group meets on the first Tuesday of each month from 5:30 PM to 7:00 PM.
· February’s meeting will be hosted at Blue Ridge Care.
· March’s meeting will be hosted by Concern Hotline, location TBA.
Participation requires a brief interview prior to joining the group to help ensure the group is the right fit and to provide support before the first meeting.
Blue Ridge Care will continue to support suicide loss survivors through individual grief counseling, which is available to anyone in their service area who has lost a loved one in the past 13 months. Courtney McCalley will also offer a 6-week grief support group, Touchstones for Suicide Loss, in 2026.
“We are deeply grateful to Blue Ridge Care and Courtney McCalley for their continued partnership and dedication to those impacted by suicide loss,” said Tara Crawford, Concern Hotline. “Our focus is on continuity, trust, and creating a safe space for healing during this transition.”
